Fred Bowlus is a professional music educator, clinician, arranger, and judge with nearly 30 years of teaching experience in music education. Mr. Bowlus has taught band at all levels, including elementary and high school band programs, in Colorado and Florida. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 2001 and earned a Transition to Teaching certificate in 2018. As an active percussion performer with the Florida Wind Band, Mr. Bowlus has been recognized as an Innovative Percussion Educator since 2001. His Winter Percussion Ensemble achieved a notable 4th place finish at the 2015 WGI World Championships in the PSCW classification. Ensembles under his direction have consistently earned Superior ratings and medals. Since joining East Bay, the Jazz Band made history by earning their first Superior rating, while the Marching Band achieved Superior status for the first time since 2011. Mr. Bowlus has proudly served as the Director of the East Bay HS Band program since 2023, contributing to the vibrant marching arts community.

Edith has been actively involved in the marching arts since 2017. She graduated from Freedom High School in Tampa, Florida in 2020, where she developed her passion for music education. In 2019, her high school band team achieved a remarkable 4th place in A class at the WGI World Championships held in Dayton, Ohio. After high school, Edith continued her journey in Florida band programs by competing with Tampa Independent in 2021 and 2022, reaching the semi-finals in 2022. Since 2020, she has been teaching across various Florida band programs and even in Texas. Since 2023, Edith has proudly served as the Color Guard Director of the East Bay Color Guard.

Jonathan is an instructor from Riverview, Florida, and a current music education major at the University of South Florida. He is a member of the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps from Rosemont, IL, where he marches mellophone. As a dedicated member of the Florida band programs, Jonathan primarily serves as a brass instructor and has previously worked with high school band programs at East Bay High School and Jule F. Sumner High School, contributing to the marching arts.

Sebastian is a visual instructor and choreographer from Riverview, Florida, and a proud graduate of Sumner High School. As an alumnus of Horizon Winds (2022, 2023) and STRYKE Wynds (2026), he has achieved notable success in the marching arts, including two WGI Winds Independent World Bronze Medals with Horizon and a Gold Medal with STRYKE. With extensive experience in Florida band programs, he has taught several high school band programs that contend for FMBC/FFCC Championships, such as Pasco High School (Dade City, FL) and Newsome High School (Lithia, FL). Sebastian is now excited to embark on his third year with East Bay, continuing his passion for music education.

Kaylee is an Instructor from Dunedin, Florida, and a current Music Education and Flute Performance Major at the University of South Florida. With ten years of flute study, she has trained with musicians from The Florida Orchestra and the National Flute Association. Kaylee's impressive background includes being a three-time FMBC 1A State Champion winner as a marcher and featured soloist, serving as Principal Flute of the Pinellas Youth Symphony, and being selected for the Florida Flute Convention Flute Choir. As part of her dedication to Florida band programs, she is committed to helping students grow in their confidence and musicianship within the high school band and marching arts.

Ethan Adamo is a color guard performer, educator, and choreographer with nine years of experience in the marching arts. He has performed at the highest levels of both WGI and DCI with USF Winterguard and the Santa Clara Vanguard. He has four years of collegiate marching experience with the USF Herd of Thunder and a year of open-class experience with Vestige Independent.
Ethan previously served as a color guard instructor at Wiregrass Ranch High School, where he contributed to a successful season that culminated in a first-place finish and best color guard award at FMBC 4A Finals. He has also built additional instructional and volunteer experience with various programs throughout the Tampa Bay Area during his time in college. His background combines world-class performance experience with a strong commitment to education, artistry, and technique across all equipment and dance.
